Moving!

So I found an apartment! It's beautiful and it's a really good deal! I'm sooooooooo excited! Of course this comes at the most inoppurtune time. Mom is trying to redo the house for some inspection, my best friend is getting married and I'm planning the bachelorette party and the wedding stuff with her, and I'm still only working one job. But the good news is I've applied to over ten places and gotten call backs from a few so I'm hoping something great comes along.

To lighten your day...

The Good Husband

Jack wakes up with a huge hangover after attending his company's Party. Jack is not normally a drinker, but the drinks didn't taste like alcoholat all. He didn't even remember how he got home from the party. As bad as he wasfeeling, he wondered if he did something wrong. Jack had to force himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he seesis a couple of aspirins next to a glass of water on the side table. And,next to them, a single red rose!! Jack sits up and sees his clothing infront of him, all clean and pressed. He looks around the room and sees that it is in perfect order, spotlessly clean. So is the rest of the houseHe takes the aspirins, cringes when he sees a huge black eye staringback at him in the bathroom mirror. Then he notices a note hanging onthe corner of the mirror written in red with little hearts on it and akiss mark from his wife in lipstick: "Honey, breakfast is on the stove,I left early to get groceries to make you your favorite dinner tonight.I love you, darling! Love, Jillian"

He stumbles to the kitchen and sure enough, there is hot breakfast, steaming hot coffee and the morning newspaper. His 16 year old son is also at the table, eating. Jack asks, "Son.. whathappened last night?""Well, you came home after 3 A.M., drunk and out of your mind You fellover the coffee table and broke it, and then you puked in the hallway, and got that black eye when you ran into the door. Confused, he askedhis son, "So, why is everything in such perfect order and so clean? Ihave a rose, and breakfast is on the table waiting for me??"His son replies, "Oh THAT... Mom dragged you to the bedroom, and Whenshe tried to take your pants off, you screamed, "Leave me alone, I'mmarried!!"Broken Coffee Table $239.99Hot Breakfast $4.20Two Aspirins $.38Saying the right thing, at the right time. Busy Busy Busy!

So working 60 hours a week is quite crazy but it might just pay off... I found a car I really like! Also planning on getting an apartment next month so wahoo!!!! Only problem? I literally have NOTHING for an apartment. I don't have a couch, dinning table, chairs, plates, cups, cookware, bakeware... hmmm this could get expensive haha. I do have bedroom furniture so I'm not completly lost.

I am very excited however that I am going to Washington DC next weekend!!!! Oh so very happy about that. I'm also excited to ride a bus for however many hours it takes to get there... haha should be interesting.

Well wish me luck Logan's birthday is this weekend and I have a feeling I have to plan something ... hmmm little nervous but he'll love his presents I'm sure.

Love you all and you're in my prayers!

Shaking

Stressed to the max. Trying to find a car is my least favorite thing to do in the world because I have no idea what's a deal and what's a rip off. Also I'm looking for a car that wont die so much (wishful thinking I know).

Also stressed because at my work I am now the head of shipping which isn't the job i wanted. I was supposed to be the office girl. Paperwork, phonecalls, accounting all that good stuff but nope. Kinda upset. Oh well. Such is life.

Oh and I've been working on my budget and all that and although I wish to very badly I can't afford to quit best buy :-( It's not that it's soo bad there. Besides corrupt managers which you'll find everywhere you go, it's actually pretty cool. Plus the discount and all the knowledge I get is great! But I just hate working 52 hours a week. It's draining me. And after my accident I haven't been able to work full time at either job. Though this week was my first full week back at MJC and I must say I'm exhuasted.

Oh and by the way I HAVE to buy a car this weekend. How's that for pressure? The insurance gave me a rent a car but since I'm not 25 my mom hasta drive it and so I've been stuck with her taurus with really scary brakes. Honestly I get in a car accident and the first car I drive has subpar brakes? Little shaken haha. But it's all my family could do so it's fine.

Another stress? My boyfriend logan and my one year was the day after the accident and ... yeah. Obviously we couldn't do much so we're hoping to redo it next weekend. I have no idea what we're doing or how we're guna plan it.

Ugh! I must go find a stress releaver.... maybe I'll go get my hair done that makes girls happy doesnt it? lol Don't know how I can afford it but I have some gift cards left from Christmas so theres a start....

Alive

So I am alive. I know my family has been telling everyone about my accident but I wanted to let everyone know I'm okay. On Sunday afternoon at about one thirty I believe I went to go pick up jessie from her friends house. All I remember is driving down the gravel road to the intersection . . . and that's all I remember.

After that I just remember waking up in the ambulance looking at an old classmate from showchoir who was taking my vitals I believe and then my mom was sitting in there too. I thought it was a dream. They kept asking what day it wasand what my name was and for the life of me I couldn't remember what day it was but I passed the name test. We got to the hospital and they were finally able to put an IV in me (im known to have difficult veins) and then they had to take the glass out of my back and arm ... and everywhere else. They also took me to have my head scanned but if you asked me what kind of scan I wouldnt be able to answer you.

I did finally accept that the accident did really happen and that I was the only one hurt and jessie was still at her friends. The bad thing is Logan was supposed to call me at about the time the accident happened and he and I were going to hang out. SO since I left my cell at home (thinking I'd only be gone for 20 mins) Logan had no idea what was going on for 4 hours. I kept asking my parents to call him to let him know what was going on but they made a good point that if all they could say was I was in the hospital and had been in an accident he might have freaked.

The hospital finally released me and I got to wear some very attractive scrubs home since they didnt know how much glass was still in my clothes. We got my pain meds and headed home. My mom called Logan at that time and luckily he didnt freak out too bad. He did come over right away.

Now I am doing better but we did go see my car today and that freaked me out a bit. I can see why mom and dad were surprised I wasn't really injured. I'm still unable to sit up for longer than 45 mins and I fall alseep at least every hour and a half. And I walk funny. I go to the doctor tomorrow to get a check up so we'll see if I'm doing alright.
Here's to surviving!!!!

What I've Learned

Okay so last year I decided to write 18 things i learned while I was 18... and I thought it'd be a good idea to do it again so here it goes.
1. I am incapable of being a "casual dater"
2. My family and friends mean more to me than I could ever explain.
3. People make promises they cannot keep. It doesn’t mean they’re lying it’s just that they are not mature or capable enough to keep those promises.
4. Your life means nothing without people to share it with.
5. You cannot no matter how hard you try change someone... they are who they are so just get used to it.
6. I am never going the person I want to be without God's help
7. Life goes on. You make mistakes and they seem like they're going to ruin your life... but everyone makes mistakes and I've yet to see anyone die from failing a class.
8. I will never be one of those people who only halfway loves their friends/family/bf whatever. I am either not interested or I’m in it for the long haul.
9. I need music in my life to be truly happy.
10. I can't wait to turn 21 so I can drink... even though I probably won't it'd be nice to know that I can.
11. Relationships are NEVER easy lol and the reason is because it's hard to understand another person and try to think of them before you
12. Money is way too darn important in this world. I wish I could just do what I want without having to worry about paying bills but such is life
13. Life is what you make it. So what if things are not exactly how I thought they'd be... sometimes that's a good thing because what I thought would make me happy doesn't even come close to the happy accidents that happen.
14. Not spending everyday with someone doesn't mean that you don't care about them. Sometimes distance strengthens a relationship.
15. All I really want is to be self sufficiant. I want to have my own apartment, pay my own bills and have a full time job I can count on.
16. Never make someone a priority in your life who will only makes you an option
17. I am a hopeless romantic hidden in a realists mindset. But no one wants someone to break past my barrier more than I do.
18. True love waits. I know I wrote that last year but I learned how important that was this year.
19. You can't wait around forever to get what you want. No one is going to help you because everyone is too busy thinking about themselves so go out and get it yourself!
I'm officially no longer a teenager... it feels good too :-)Here's to turning 20 and waiting to turn 21!

New Job?!!

So I was in the hair salon yesterday waiting for my appointment and the lady at the desk (Barbara) asked me how things were going. I told her that I was home from Purdue and that I was staying here and working at best buy but not getting a lot of hours. She then asks me if I was looking for a full time job. I said yes and at that exact moment a woman walked out of the tanning bed and Barbara said "Hey I found you someone to work full time for you!" As it turns out this lady owned a children's clothing business and needs a receptionist of sorts to deal with paper work and orders and shipping and so forth. And today I went to go see what the business was like and ...

I got the job!!!!!

Well I start on Monday and come in 9-5 and see if I like it for sure and after that I'm in! Can you believe it! All I've been wanting for so long is an actual full time 9-5 job and now I have an amazing opportunity to have it! I'm ecstatic! I couldn't thank God for a better chance!
